В статье проанализировано понятие «адаптация» с позиции психолого-педагогических условий подстраивания первокурсников к активной деятельности, а также как необходимого условия эффективности учебнопознавательной деятельности будущего студента. Подчёркнута важность проведения психолого-педагогического сопровождения иностранных студентов, поскольку это обеспечивает ряд действий для принятия оптимальных решений в разных ситуациях жизненного (учебного выбора). Дана общая характеристика мероприятиям в Техническом университете г. Кошице (Словацкая республика) по адаптации украинских студентов во время учёбы на первом курсе. The article analyzes the concept "adaptation" from the standpoint of the choosing psychological and pedagogical conditions for the comfortable learning fist-year students, because the comfortable learning is the important condition for the effective educational and cognitive activity of students.The student's life is various – the visiting of lectures for different subjects, work with special sources of information, scientific activities and sport. That is why students have to organize their life for the effective implementation of necessary tasks. However, they need the special help during the first year learning in university. Foreign students need the especial help. The article characterizes special activities of Technical University in Kosice for the adaptation students from Ukraine. The Technical University in Košice has a rich history. It was founded during the period of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Now it is one of the leading universities in the Slovak Republic. It trains specialists in technical specialties. Understanding the needs of the modern labor market, TUKE prepares economists, specialists in the field of fine arts and pilots. Currently, more than nine thousand students study at nine faculties of TUKE. This university employs more than 700 professors, assistant professors and assistants, and the same number of research and administrative crew. In 2016-17 this year In the TUK, about 200 Ukrainian students were enrolled for training. Such a number of foreign students may require correction of the teaching and upbringing process at the university, which should be taken into account when choosing the methods of teaching, monitoring and assessing the knowledge and skills of such students. In order to determine the format of education, with the amendment for foreigners, the Department of Social Sciences of the TUKe has developed a plan to collect general information that would help determine their needs and easily adapt to the new living conditions of learning and life.
